The Herbert and Dorothy Watt Preserve
This 7.6-acre preserve was the first gift of land given to the land trust. The 1991 donation focused attention on the goal to protect as much of Cave Creek as possible. The dependable waters of Cave Creek still run through this preserve which once sustained the ancient Hohokam Indians as evidenced by the remains of pit houses, agave roasting pits, pottery sherds and the linear stone walls of their terraced gardens found nearby.
